smed28 There are something that does not let go, the power sound of guitar, a kind of restless rhythm, double bass also sets the mood well. And, in fact, both Rollin' and "Wild" describe it well. Energetic tracks indeed. Not frenetic, but quite agitated. I did not go to feet tapping, but I was shaking my head! Not that boring, but just a little scattered and lost in the open vastness of ploys. I wonder how their own songs would have sounded, but these cover versions came out quite savory and punky. Favorite track: F.B.I.

about

This EP is the result of different influences from each of the members in Wild. Rockabilly is sometimes described as a way of life for many and Wild are no different. With the help of Beck Studio in Wellingborough, Wild have managed to put their very own twist to Rockabilly classics such as Baby Plays House, Folsom Prison Blues and a brilliant cover of Jitterbop Baby from Hal Harris. Moving the years on as if it was a history lesson, Wild play an exciting version of I Fought The Law, originally written by Sonny Curtis of the Crickets and later performed by the Bobby Fuller Four in 1966. It is also clear from this version, punk is a major influence with hints of The Clash throughout.

The last track of the EP is a fantastic version of F.B.I. The Shadows originally recorded this track back 1961, but Wild have changed the way this great track sounds and feels with the throbbing double bass, screaming guitar and shuffling drums.
